How to Open a Cycle Gear Store

Cycle gear store is an exciting business venture and, at the same time, allows you to gain financial independence. Cycling is probably one of the most exciting sports there is.

Cycling is also a form of exercise that most people enjoy. If you have a passion for cycling and thinking of starting a business in this field, here is some sound advice on how to do so.

Turn Your Hobby into a Business

If you are one of those whose hobby is cycling, then why not turn your hobby into a business? Since your passion is cycling, it is the most rewarding thing to start a business about it while earning a living out of it. Many entrepreneurs start their business by turning their passion into a business related to it. Most often than not, people who venture into a company related to their passion succeed because their heart is in it.

Create a Niche

In any business venture creating a niche is always the best prerogative; hard to achieve but attainable. How do you create a place in this kind of business? Aside from ensuring fewer competitors in the area where you would like to start your business, providing personalized service to your clients is just one way of creating a niche. Train your staff on providing good customer service: courtesy, approachable instead of intimidating, building rapport with clients, etc. Another way of creating a niche in the industry that you are in is the products that you tend to be available in your cycle gear store. People would visit your store to look for and purchase products for their cycling needs. Live up to the name of your store. When you open a cycle gear store, ensure that you provide almost all the cycle gear customers will likely look for. This is a way to make sure that customers will never have to leave your store to look for another cycle store just to be able to buy what they need. Remember that successful businesses have established a niche in their chosen field; that’s why they have an excellent client base of customers.

I live just outside of Carlisle Pennsylvania. Your closest store to me is the Harrisburg Pennsylvania store. I am also a member of a motorcycle group so I get to meet different people all the time. Everybody that I talk to in the cycling community would like to have a Cycle Gear Store in Carlisle Pennsylvania. I have 23 years of retail experience and am currently a facility manager for a retail operation managing 22 sales reps and inventory around $500000 and a fleet of 25 trucks. If a franchise opportunity is available I would like to learn more about it.

San Antonio has 2M people and one cycle Gear. I’d like to make it too. I live in the most significant and growing subdivision in SA. We could do great numbers out here, unlike the other store that is in a business district. The one would be in one of the fastest growing residential areas in a city that is the second fastest growing city in a state currently ranked 5th growth and 1st migration.
