If you are expecting a large number of guests, the place should have a big space to accommodate the guests that will attend your party. It should also be well ventilated so that the guests will be comfortable all throughout the party. Choosing the right place of your party should be included on your checklist. But if you have a limited budget, and your house has a good space for a party, then it will be good to celebrate your retirement party in your own home. Your decorations can be themed by the past photographs you have or some memorabilia you have when you are still working. You may seek help from relatives and friends to plan your party. All you need is a good teamwork so that the planned party will be realized.

The food you will be serving on your party is as important as your party. The party will never be complete without the food. If you are going to have a large number of guests, you should choose the recipe of food that is loved by almost everyone so that you will be sure that it will all be consumed by your guests.
