Coffin making is easy if done the old way I was taught 46 years ago. The best way is done by making many sides of coffins, all 6 foot 4 inches long, (Coffins should be 4 inches longer then height of corpse & 4 inches wider, use to make the sides 12 inches wide but these days I make them at least 14 inches wide due to people been fatter these days. Each Coffin is cut to required length for each order. The ends of the Coffin are made to suit each order,later also, building coffins this way means you don't have to make many coffins of different sizes in advance for orders saving time materials & money. The most important part of Coffin making is always make the bottom twice as strong as it needs to be using strong glue & screws . I also use biscuit joints as they swell with PVA glue & make a very strong joint that if machined properly NEVER FAIL. ( corpses falling out of the bottom of a Coffin is never a good sight at a Funeral. Coffin lid should be one inch wider then base with a 1 inch overhang all way around then lipped .
