@shivayogi hiremath : well! I would suggest you to stay in your field will be more fruitful for you .
But as you want to start then just have a Deep Breathe and start
1. Make plan by yourself ! i.e how much you can invest , how you can be different from the market trend (actually without knowing your market condition , I cannot tell you anything so that you have to do it by yourself)
2. Give time to study the market strategy , what they demand whether they prefer of quality or just like we want this under this price!
3. If your investment is low give a startup with bit less decorative and more on quality , once you start making money out from there then just boom it ! Else would only say you are ENGINEER , Use the ENGINEERING brain according to me you must be make something great out there

Whether you can invest big (at least around 20 lac) ?
If yes , then then you can start either of both retail or wholesale
If your average investment is around (~5 lac ) then go for retail only if you wanna establishment of shop but Still interested in wholesale ? Then go for marketing based wholesale or in short be sourcing person
