(1) Where would you generally get the dvds/reels (or just permission) from for a 2nd run movies?
(2)what do they usually cost on average?
I know these ques. have been asked over and over, but hopefully the answers are getting emailed back..so I'd greatly appreciate, even the slightest inside scoop too! Thanks, Conner devngreen@aol.com
(3) what are the legalities of showing television to an audience before and after the film?
1.Do we really need to get screening rights for such movies?? 2.If yes what is the procedure?
any pointers would be really useful!

You don't buy movies. You have to get a film booker. The film booker will send you all the applications from the movie companies. You fill them out and the movie companies let you know if they will rent you movies, they might ask for a deposit depending on your credit. Generally for first run movies you will pay anywhere between 60-80 percent of the money you received for this movie. Usually the price will decrease if you keep the movie more than a certain amount of time usually two weeks. You can find film bookers online. Second run movies are cheaper to rent. The only licenses you need are those required by your city or state. Hope this helps.
