    My dad and I just added a towing business to his mechanic shop he has had for 20 years and we are wondering how to get a Missouri tower id number, the number that goes in a blank on the yellow and pink papers you get from the police when you tow an abandoned car. And we would also like some advice on getting the highway patrol on our side, they refuse to call us they call out only competitor in town. 3 wrecks in the last 24 hours and we got 0.     Please I have already setup a towing company, bought a tow truck but have run into a big problem which is "very high cost of insuring the tow truck". Is there any tip on paying lower insurance? because this could warrant my closing the business.

    So I've purchased a rollback tow truck. It's all insured I have an s Corp already started from a previous business. Have my accountant on board as well as my lawyer looking to see what I have to do to get this up and rolling. But he's taking too long getting back to me.     @MARIE DENARD most tow trucks used for light duty work are under cdl requirements. However, it is good to check prior to opening up to the general public. Have you thought about staying private?
