President Barack Obama over the weekend called on world leaders to stand united in resolving the toughest global challenges, saying that mankind must remain vigilant in the face of various threats.

Obama, who made the announcement during his weekly radio address in time for Passover and Easter celebrations, called on the people to set aside whatever differences and start coming up with better solutions to ensure the survival of the humankind.

The president said that such extremism in the environment and the economy remained to pose threat in the people if these were not addressed properly.

Obama’s announcement came following a successful European tour. The chief executive also advocated the administration’s bid to halt the productions of fissile products, abolish the nuclear stocks, and ban any kind of nuclear test.

The President also asked world leaders to do their part in preventing terrorists from killing innocent people. He added that recurrence of age-old conflicts, proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, and deadly diseases remains the most pressing international concerns.

Obama believe that the only way to stop these security threats is for the people of the world to work together and unite in building a pillar of mutual trust.
