Investors Demand Answers on Steve Jobs' Health

Like any other normal company, investors of Apple ask to be given a clear picture and full update on the health and future role of Mr. Steve Jobs. However, these investors thought that they'll be treated again as dupes, given Apple's past omissions and deceptions on this matter.

Wall Street Journal published the news that Steve Jobs had a liver transplant.

Joe Nocera of the New York Times wrote that the doctor of Jobs observed a pancreatic cancer on his body. If this spread to the liver, then a transplant is necessary. His prognosis could have been worse if it remained contained.

Of course, nobody really knows for sure. So far, Apple maintained a ludicrous stand that the health of Jobs and his future company role are just private matters. In fact, they should not be a major concern for employees, customers, and investors as well.

However, in reality, both should be observed: it is material corporate information and a private matter at the same time. What’s important is that Apple needs to climb out of distorting reality.

SEC already investigated the past communications of the company about Steve. They were warned that if they don’t issue a full statement on this, then SEC would be forced to do so. Nocera thinks that Apple should take into consideration the people who invested their money, especially its directors.

In the news a few months ago, it was revealed that Jobs truly had a liver transplant. And instead of being divulged by Apple, the investors were once again left in the dark on the possibility that his health problems could be affecting his work.
