1. Jetski school for all ages
2. Storage facilities on / near beaches to reduce storage cost for jet ski operators
3. Leasing jet ski to licensed / insured operators for a minimal fee
The past 2 years saw a decline in people wanting to rent jetskis and the business isn't what it used to be. Now the jetskis in many places are considered a nuisance. Good luck getting permits, and if you don't get permits and insurance you risk getting your equipment seized.
To ALL the hopefuls out there I will tell you that you need to understand FULLY what you are getting into.
We ended up purchasing a beach bar right on the beach and I can tell you that it's a lot easier and cheaper to open, way less liability. Just make sure you can get proper licenses /permits to sell alcohol because that will be your bread and butter, any food you serve there will be just to get people in there. The good thing about that business is that you can hire locals to work in the kitchen, manage, bartend, and for servers if you want to be hands-off. It's really what you want to make of it. Just hire entertainment 2 or 3 nights out of the week and people will come in and eat/drink. We never even worked at a restaurant prior to this and are making really good. The bad thing is during the slow season it sucks, so just make sure you don't overspend during the good times and it will keep you sailing through the slow times. Good luck to all of you.
