KFC Says Free Chicken Gives Good Publicity

Fast food chain giant KFC posted higher sales after its recent free meal which promoted the grilled chicken has received much publicity as millions of Americans flocked to KFC chains to have a free taste of its latest dish which has been considered as the healthier version of fried chicken.

Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), one of the biggest restaurant franchises in the US, said that its recent free meal which promoted its newest grilled chicken has made the company more popular among consumers.

On May 5, KFC’s free grilled chicken was promoted by talk show queen Oprah Winfrey who said that anyone can download a coupon to have this free meal. With this announcement, millions of people visited KFC’s site and downloaded the food stub.
 

Meanwhile, the fast-food chain was overwhelmed with the large number of customers who went to the stores to try the free meal promo. According to reports, some people even waited for hours just to taste the grilled chicken only to be send away with empty stomach as the stocks ran out.
 

In an interview with AP, KFC President Roger Eaton said that despite some problems they encountered, the unprecedented number of customers who showed up in front of their stores is a clear indication that they are successful in promoting the new meal.


The fast-food chain giant also said that after its promotion, sales have drastically increased since most people, who are mostly healthy conscious, have started to visit the restaurant again to order the grilled chicken which is lower in fats compared to the fried cooked.
