I have quilted all my life and would like to open a fabric, quilt shop; teaching quilting, sewing and starting a quilt club. I am really interested in the Litchfield Illinois area. I don't believe there are any other businesses of that type in the area.

I was a teacher and when I retired I began my shop 2 years ago. Go to SBA.gov and get help on doing a business plan. It is free and the first step to planning for your new shop. Good luck.

As a retired teacher I want to open a craft shop featuring quilting, knitting, & embroidery supplies, notions, and gifts. I will have lessons, clubs, etc. available too. My question for someone that already has a shop, how much did you spend in initial inventory? I need an amount for my business plan. Thank you!
