    I own a flight school near Vancouver, Canada. If someone is interested in opening a new flight training school, please remember that rules are essentially similar in all countries. Safety is the main focus as students life is entrusted to the school and the instructor. It is a great business for young pilot with small family. The biggest cost to operate a quality institution is maintenance of aircrafts, fuel and staffing. If systems are set up properly, governance and reporting of regulations can be pretty easy.     I advise anyone who reads the comment here to ignore joseph doway comments and do not contact or send him monies of any sort and do not donate any thing, i was a former student at the flight training facility( island aviation aero club)none of our instructors stay more than a month because they were not being paid and the civil aviation authority did not give him permission to train in Antigua. He was the president and long story short it was a big scam he took the students monies and bought a plane and he claims in court that he also fenced the property for the aero club with it. This was three years ago and i am still in court with him to date.
