Hello every body, if u wish to start a new granite business, sure it is a good and profitable business, while if u have a minimum 5.00 lacs rupees, u can start a small business for kitchen tops, washbasin tops, staircases.  Also memory stones, innaguration name boards etc.  For this purpose, u can use black granite.  Also note that u have to keep good minimum 2 technicians for cutting and edge polishing and fixing etc. jobs.  You know if u supply 200 sq.ft. black granite to one customer, take the fixing work also, so that u can get very good margin through edge polishing, design works etc. If u have the above investment, please have a mail or a call to me, sure, i can give more details and help for starting this business in India. regards wish u all a good success and a wise thinking.

@ktvelan, Dear Mr. Velan, Hosur is good industrial place especially Granite business, as you know more than 100 factories are there all they are from Rajasthan based peoples owned.  U have mentioned that u have Rs.40 lacs in hand for this purpose,  i think this amount is very low amount while i am saying because u have to purchase a minimum 1 acre land, making an industrial building it will become more than 10 lacs, i dont know what is the price of land in Hosur, another thing is purchasing one block cutter and three units of polishing machine, electrification of the building, purchasing generator set, preparing water recycling plant and finally for purchasing raw materials.  I hope the above amount is very low for this purpose.  It is better for you, first u have to open an account with a nationalised bank and then deposit the amount in your hand to the current account, then, you to prepare a project report stating that u r planning to start a new granite manufacturing factory for this, u need minimum 1 crore rupees, ur capital is Rs.40 lacs and the balance amount will give u the consent bank.

@gouranga poddar, dear Mr.Poddar, i am SIVANANDAN KOMALAN, consultant of this web site.  I can help you for starting your new granite and marble business.  As u know now a days the demand of marble and granites are very high in Indian market, while the business is good, because of the profit is very good, if u do the business in a good way.  first you have to find out a place of minimum 30 to 50 cents of land, which better for selecting on the way of any National or State highway so that u can avoid advertisement etc.  then you have to make a good stock yard with a shed (the shed is very necessary for stocking granite, while some granites are finishing with Epoxxy for filling small holes on the top place, this epoxxy materials colour should become fadness if the sunraise falling directly on  this materials) then u have to stock one colour material minimum 500 to 1000 sq.ft. if u r planning to stock 10 colours of 1000 each your initial stock would be 10000 sq.ft. The cost of 10000 x 150/sq.ft. = 15,00,000/-.  The selling price of this material should be Rs.170 to 185/sq.ft. so your profit is minimum Rs.20 to maximum 30/sq.ft. For example after selling 1000 sq.ft. you will get a profit of Rs.15000 to 30000.  In addition the above, u will get an additional benefit that is measurement benefit, while the manufacturer giving you this allowance for traders only,  so u will get this extra benefit minimum 100 sq.ft.,  so 100 x Rs.150/- Rs.15,000/- this absolutely an extra amount for you.  This means after finally you will get Rs.30000/ to 45,000/- for selling 1000 sq.ft. granite.  Regarding other expenses, the industrial shed making cost is Rs.3 to 4 lacs, you have to take Sales tax registration CST AND WBGST for getting tax benefit.  It is my opinion for starting a small business you have to keep Rs.25 to 30,00,000 lacs.  For more informations, please contact me on +9526451744 i know Hindi and English fluently.  regards.
