Hello everyone, I'm now rounding up my Bsc in IT and I would really love to start a business in agriculture but i'm an absolute novice. I'm based in Port-Harcourt, Nigeria and I have a plot of land in a residential area. I would like to use this land to start growing fruits like pineapples or watermelons and vegetables to generate income. My aim is to hire land, expand and also start a plantain plantation. I don't have knowledge on garden plans and i don't know if what i want to plant would grow there or yield me much income. I was told by someone that I could invest N120,000 and make profits of N200,000 with my plot of land using his business plan. He wanted a partnership and said we would share the profits but it felt a bit one sided to me, since i'm left in the dark.
Is there anyway I can gain experience?
Do you have any agency that can aid me or can I go on contract with some company who can maintain and update me during the process?
