    Respected Sir, good day , i saw your cutting on starting steel mini mill. i am been working in steel plant for rather 13 years , i had erection , commissioned and started handon production and right now executing production and maintenance work of rebar rolling mill. my personal experience is to go for rebar from 12mm to 32mm , there is less wastage and yield is maximum. to increase the production you can go for slitting for size 12 to 20mm. secondly before startup of plant decide what is your aim as the main thing in this is reheating furnace, if you think for less capacity rebar rolling mill which is 50 ton /hr then it ok to go for single bar rolling . if you want to go for 1000ton /day or more you should initially go for 12 mtr capacity reheating furnace .

    Secondly pl see that you have good electricity and for rebar no voltage fluctuation is tolerated as it have DC drive for motor which is directly related to rolling speed. for considering to roll on GENSET you require at least double capacity power than require to run the mill. if you are really interested for start up of new rebar plant , i can join you, i am indian, my name is Vishal Desai with production engineer by profession and working in Saudi Arabia as mechanical maintenance manager for rebar rolling mill. having overall experience of all department . regards Vishal Desai 00966538711763

    Hello @ketan c shah, Greetings ! Please let us know what product do you want to produce in the rolling mill. Is it rebar or section. You can use the plate cutting scrap in the rolling mill to produce finish products but that will be small rolling mill of 8 inches and it will be able to give you output of around 4 MT per hour for sizes. Flat:20mmx5mm to40mmx6mm, Angle : 25mm to 38 mm, Round : 8mm to 20 mm, Square: 8mm to 20 mm

These metal can be started at lover budget comparatively and then you can go for big project.
