White iPhone 4, iPad Delivery Face another Delay

The biggest technology company in the world today, Apple Inc. announced that it will not be shipping the white version of the new iPhone 4 and 9.7-inch iPad until “later this year” following delays in manufacturing process.

Apple Inc., the biggest technology company in the world today, announced that it will not be shipping the white version of the new iPhone 4 and 9.7-inch iPad until “later this year” following delays in manufacturing process.

In a statement, Apple said that the white version of the ultra-popular iPhone 4, which has yet to go on sale, has been “extra challenging” for the company to manufacture.

Also, Apple revealed that the display interface maker of the new iPad said that it couldn’t meet the high demand for the 9.7-inch tablet computer screen.

“It has been more challenging for us to make the white version of the iPhone,” the company said in the statement, which came just a week after its chief executive Steve Jobs promised to make the white version available in the market by the end of July.

Apple did not provide additional statement over the delays. But sources said that the Chinese company contracted by the computer giant to make the signature glass shell for the iPhone is still working on the perfect combination of paint thickness and opacity for the “absolute whiteness” of the device.

But despite the delays in the white iPhone, Apple assured that the manufacturing of its black version is unaffected. However, the company said that customers will still have to wait three weeks online before they can have their orders, citing the huge volume of orders.
