    Belton, MO, USA - My family is considering starting a cab company in our town servicing our area and the metro area. Seriously, the nearest cab company service area is over an hour away so we basically have no cab service. Also, there is no bus, tram or any other sort of public transportation here. I have experience from the driver's perspective. Can we start with our own vehicles using metallic signs? Where can we purchase the meter equipment or can we go by a mileage chart like in Washington, D. C.? My son is a mechanic so we have that covered. I'd like to put together a proposal for the SBA.     I'm in detroit michigan right now, i can provide a lot of information about what i know about taxi cabs, from the best and cheapest dispatch systems to everything. i think that if a few serious people traded information and a few inverters put their money behind the ideas they like we can put something together. i would personally want to know about opportunities in other places where cabs or better service is needed. one reason i like this business is because when you come up with the right formula, you can duplicate that in every city. if you have any questions, especially in america about doing this you can email me, if i don't know i will find out and email you back. taxi cab service is bad everywhere i have ever went. anyway email. me at blueblackred01@gmail.com

    respected sir, i was very impressed with the objectives u have given for setting up a taxi service. I live in a small city where taxis are not used much i have a similar business plan to open up with the three wheeler transportation. Three wheeler are mostly used in our city so i got up with the idea. Mostly called the "autos". what is your comment on this? with regards pavan.

    @pavan, I believe you are from south asia where auto rickshaws are very popular. You can definitely have one or many from these. You need to tell me what is your budget. If you are just planning to go for one then go ahead with it. You need the city auto rickshaw driver license, auto insurance, buy the auto with the finance option and figure out what area suits you the best from your city. Write your contact no on your rickshaw and hopefully give it to all of them who reserves your auto. A better thought can definitely get you more business.

    @ann hi, for a philippine taxi franchise you first need to purchase the car, then have contacts with taxi operators who can help you process the franchise within LTFRB (if you go direct to the LTFRB they will inform you that all franchises are gone) then within 3 months you'll have your franchise. its quite simple and painless but you will need to have the funds ready for this on the plus side it is a viable business and one taxi would make you on rental fee around 40K peso/ month so you can get a fleet quite easily

    I am trying to start my own taxi service in Villas New jersey, I have a question I live in Cape May county and the city of wildwood and North wildwood only allowe a few permits per year for there area....like wildwood I'm being told only allow 10 permits per year for there city. There is this one taxi service that has the monopoly on the permits for wildwood...and unless that company gives up a few of the licenses then know one else can pick up or drop off in that area.....my question is how can I go about getting one of the license to work in that area if they have the monopoly on it....like the city only gives out 10 licenses and this particular company holds 8 of them but they only have 5 taxi's there holding the other licenses so know one else can obtain them.....I dont think that fair they will never give up those licenses so what should I do. its a very popular city.....any help given Id appreciate ty
