    I'm in Minneapolis, MN I'm working on starting my own beauty supply here in the city. I noticed so many here have the same question on how to start & suppliers but hanniyyah with her comment on 7/4/2011 2:59:00 AM gives a lot of info that will give you an idea how to get stated and tips on how to spend and so on. To me that comment was very informational. All I can suggest at this point is to start online search from wholesales by name of product example: Remy hair wholesale, Broner Bros. products, Onyx, Motions products etc.. just to get info on wholesale. Also another suggestion would be to talk with the owner of a local beauty supply go in the store and present what you are trying to do and see if they can give any info or help. Once I'm up & running things I'll be back to share as much info as possible to help the next one in our shoes.

    Kelly. Which ethnic do u cater to? Caucasian,Hispanic,afroamerican? By my experience they won't do no consignment unless is a small homemade new products. Wholesalers might give u credit only after a year or two. I would just start carrying salon only products before u think about opening a bs store.

    @Munir Ansari, hi, munir, yes, you are right ,the salon can make your beauty supply store be more booming. If you own a men salon, then i suggest you sell some toupees and hair pieces. Or the closures. You can promote the beauty products to your customers and it was helpful i think.
