I Don't know why there is no reply by the bloggers . By the way We are manufacturer of high quality ladies garments and I think my own experience can help you. And I can can answer many of your questions Lets start one by one

Q: With how many machines you want to start your business?
A: It depends upon what type of fabric you'll be using for your manufacturing unit.

Q: Where you find the wholesale buyers?
A: This is not tough thing to find the buyer but the tough thing is to find the buyer who can pay you on time ,bcz in market there are many cheaters who are keeping eyes on all newcomers in the market . So YOU need to be AWARE of it.

Q: How much capital you need ?
A: To be frank if someone is telling you that you can start garment manufacturing business with 5-6 lacs. don't even try to step in to market with this amount. Ya it's true that initially setup will not cost more but your RAW Material will cost more and as this is business LOSS and Profits are just hand in hand bcz your business will work according to market sometime you'll get payment by time and most of the time you have to leave this for at least a month . SO, If you sincerely want to start your manufacturing unit have at lest of 25 lacs in your hand and then step into it.

Q: Worrying about the wages to pay ?
A: Now when you have arranged money and started your business you also need to pay your worker it's simple bcz every state have its different grade pay . or you can pay according to your profit .

Q: Where to get RAW MATERIAL?
A: Once you stepped into the market you will get all those contact in a single day when you will get out of your home for market survey or even you can search online too.

Q: Legal issue?
A: You don't need to worry about any legal issue until your turnover exceeds 5 lacs per annum . the only you can face legal issue if you copy and copyright holding brand LOGO/NAME .

@Ravi Balaji, want to do trading business. so, first thing get some money in crores. because to trade first you should have that thing . first you have to buy the fabric . because there is not the situation always that the buyer you get is always demanding 1000 kg cotton material in same colour .which you can get it directly manufactured from the MILL . ELSE You have to be the WHOLESALER of FABRIC ...

@amit sharma, you want to open a GARMENT RETAIL SHOP & You want to know its Procedure , n actually I haven't got your question in detail. By the way . Procedure is as follow :
1. Take a shop on LEASE , because its start up for your business . so, profit and loss runs hand in hand . that is why owning a shop for retail business is not a better option .TAKE CARE THAT THE LOCATION SHOULD HAVE BEEN A PLACE FULL OF CROWD .
2. DECORATE your SHOP , make it look ENCHANTING . which will act as fascinating agent for your CUSTOMER .
3. CONTACT your LOCAL wholesaler.
4. Don't WORK UPON HIGH PROFIT MAKING policy. By doing so you can able to get one time money but this cannot make your customer regular even they won't recommend any of their friends or family member to visit you . IF YOUR PRODUCTS ARE CHEAP You'll BE ABLE MAKE MORE CUSTOMER . because in STARTING YOU HAVE to MAKE CUSTOMER NOT MONEY . when you get required number of customer then you can INCREASE yours PROFIT SHARE.

@sneh sampada :- As you have very meager capital , so I suggest you to continue with your job for 5 more years ,by doing so you'll get some savings and GAIN experience too . As I don't suggest you to try your luck .Business is not always profitable here PROFIT and LOSS walks hand in hand . If your business goes in profit its BOOM for you but IF its shows negative slope it'll just WRECK you. And as a fact too you cannot start your business when you are suffering with MONEY too , But then also you have option for your DREAM search for any business partner and its always preferred to start your business in PARTNERSHIP mode.

1. Get company registered and have a valid TIN number and be a tax PAYER "timely" .because it's VITAL for DREAM BUSINESS .
2. Get a LOGO designed and try putting it on your every trouser (MANY PEOPLE TRY SAVING MONEY OF THAT LOGO BY NOT PUTTING IT), Try to deliver quality .
3. Don't compromise with QUALITY although sometime you have to compromise with QUANTITY .
If you will start delivering QUALITY local people will search your product with your BRAND NAME , THEY will SEARCH you .
