    I am interested in opening a respite care business in Colorado springs, for special needs children. This state is in need of more respite care for families that need to work. I know how hard it is on families to get the right care for their children. I am raising a special needs grandson and it's taken a toll on my 30 year career. Employers don't understand. Help me with the information to help these families. I want to make a difference.

    Hi, I am interested in starting a Respite care service - a place for Caregivers to bring a loved one in order to gain a few days of mental and physical recovery. I have heard that often caregivers expire before the person they are caring for because of the pressure and neglect of their own health. I know insurance would pay for a person who is terminal but not someone who is just chronic. I am not sure how to go about this at all. I am thinking of something like a group home to hold about 4 to 5 persons at a time. However, I'm sure that this is not something that the family would be able to pay for out of pocket. How could it be funded? Thank you.

    I'm looking to start my own respite care/patient sitter business. I have a CNA license, CMT license, and EMT license. I don't know where to start regarding getting the license for my business, getting licensed through Missouri, what insurance I should get, etc. I don't know where to start. Help!!
