1. have the soil analyzed if it is suitable for planting sugarcane crop. Are there soil laboratories in your place?
2. Is the area flat? No large boulders in the fields?
3. Type of soil. Irrigation source.
4. Are there enough labor force to do manual cultivation during rainy season when your tractors cannot cultivate?
5. Are there sugar mills to deliver your canes during harvest season?
6. How will you transport your canes, by trucks/trailers or trains?
These are the initial steps then your operating costs per acre fields. You have to secure a bank loan to operate on the first year since you have to wait for the canes to mature and mill it.
