How to Start your own Carl's Jr. Restaurant Franchise
Carl's Jr. Restaurant, as part of the CKE Restaurants, Inc., has been one of the top business franchises in the US and other parts of the world. The business handles some of the most popular fast-food-casual dining restaurants with a quick service reputation.
So if you're a businessman who wants to have a rewarding business that you can run from the comfort of your own home, then Carl's Jr. is the right business venture for you.
Requirements and Qualifications: One of the most preferred qualifications for the possibility of owning a franchisee is business experience in restaurants and other related businesses. The company will also consider businessmen and their partners who have an existing business under their name.
You also have to pass the net worth qualification of $1million. You should also have a cash liquidity of $300, 000 in order for you to have a contract with the Carl’s Jr. This amount is relatively more affordable than other restaurant franchises available in the market today.
Startup Costs: One of the things you need to consider before you sign a deal with Carl’s Jr. is the availability of the territory or areas that you will operate the business. Franchise cost for one Carl’s Jr. ranges from $1.3 to $1.9 million depending on the size of the area of operation. You’ll also have to pay a franchising fee of $35, 000 and an ongoing royalty fee of four percent, which will be deducted from the store’s annual profit.
Return of Investment: The quick and fast-food style of restaurant franchise has a huge advantage over other food businesses in the market so you’ll be assured that you will have the investment cost back in no time. The agreement term is 20 years so you will have plenty of time to work on how to make the business grow and earn more.
Because of a lucrative market that Carl’s Jr. Offers its franchisee, 100 percent of the franchisees now own more than one unit. This is a proof that business is booming with Carl’s Jr.
Training and Support: Like most business franchises, training and support will be taken care of by Carl’s Jr., which will be held at your own franchise location. This is needed in order for you to familiarize yourself and your employees with the standard business operation of one franchise.
Important 12-week management training will also be available for higher ranking employees. Promotional and grand openings will be taught during these training sessions.
Marketing Support and Advertising: Carl’s Jr. ranked number 62 in 2009 in terms of the food franchises. This is due to the huge name recall that it is getting from its clients. The loyalty of customers to Carl’s Jr. is outstanding as the company posted an unprecedented 80 percent return to its clients.
