    hi, i am from surat. apart from car accessories shop i am more attracted to a multi car workshop. something big then normal garages but little bit smaller than all companies official workshop's. ofcourse i will need a good and cheap source of different parts of it of all basic cars roaming on indian roads.. i will be grateful if i can get help from you.. my budget is still lot of dependent on project loan i get from bank funding.. do u think it is good idea in starting up this business? surat is a boom right now for this, believe me! help! sos

    @M TULASIRAM, Vijayawada is showing very good growth in Car accessories. Investment should start around 5 Lack rupees. You can procure items on demand also as there are many wholesalers operating in Vijaywada,

    @subin, I wont suggest you to open another car accessories shop in ernakulam as the market is already saturated with an overflow of retailers. However , you can add car care products and few more accessories to your existing car alignment shop as you have already links with car owners.     hello @Navneet Kumar you are doing very good to every one i read your suggestion and got good brief overview of market i also want to open a car accessories retail shop in ahmedabad, my issue is location should i open store in market where i can get labour in contract and good footfall but i will get space of not more than 500sqft if i open store out of market i will get more space where i can do accessories, car spa, tyre and wheel alignment, quoting & polishing business budget is not an issue kindly guide us thanks

    @Romesh #315 Meghalya market is very small but very small but profitable. I suggest you source from Guwahati as there are no distributors or wholesalers operating in Meghalaya at present. Delhi or Kolkata are no way useful for you because of distance.

    Hey navneet, hats off to you, replying soo many ppl, so many queries, its indeed a big deal. Im frm mumbai, i wanna start something new in this car accessories line n need ur expert advice. What plan i have in my mind is to go to china n get chinese(good quality) products like audio systems, speakers, rear view mirrors(latests 1s with camera, bluetooth,mp3,etc) perfumes, etc all under $100. Now sir pls guide me n tell me is there any scope in this line, since i guess i'm quit late in this line, n will any wholesaler or retailer will entertain me.

You all are as lovely as others who are entering this beautiful and respectful trade. Raipur market is good for Chattisgarh. If you buy from Vishakhapatnam , you will be paying double tax and double freight. Moreover, prices in Vishakhapatnam are bit higher than Raipur. Why do not you buy directly from Delhi?

    @NEERAJ PRIYANI,  Wholesale Business is a good idea as Ahmedabad has a plenty of retail stores now. Wholesale is highly capital intensive. Budget can start from 20 Lakhs and you may need around 1 Cr as per current trend. But Let me warn you, Margins are very thin in wholesale, If you have no experience , you can end up with dead or slow moving stocks which can eat your capital.     @Vicky, There is no reason to take you wrong. We know Banglore market is reeling under recession these days, But reasons are different for that. The product range available in Bangalore market is either too premium or too cheap. Unfortunately customers in both these segment are already short in numbers. Demand and supply ratio is very much Supply Intensive  and Car Showroom like Bimal and Pratham are highly aggressive for sale of car accessories. Another important point to mention is the non availablity of latest items in Bangalore as most retailers are depending on local suppliers who are reluctant to invest in new items and technologies. @ Increasing Footfall, Follow Car- N- Style. at JC Road. He is always full of new ideas and is never devoid of customers. Innovation is the key especially in Bangalore where the customer is net savy.     @balasubrahmaniam Already Attingal is saturated. Currently there are 7 shops with in 2 KMs range. Until the end of 2006 there is only one shop, currently business is distributed and so many shops are closed due to insufficient business

    @Nihaz, Salaries in Kerala Market are better than other parts of this country. So many of migrant workers from Bihar and UP are shifting their focus to Kerala. I personally do not recommend any one but would suggest you to contact few of them. They generally arrange for more technicians within their network.

    @Aseem, even i used to wonder why there are no accessories shops in Panchkula and Mohali which have developed as upmarket townships. I suggest you go for Mohali. It will suit your budget and this is a big unsaturated market. No point in opening a shop in Channdigarh.
