@Vivek Shrivatsava: Sir, You may approach either National Fisheries Development Board, Hyderabad or MPEDA, Cochin/ Ernakulam for getting financial assistance to start your fish farming business. You can get the loan up to 2 lakh if you are a single private entrepreneur for a medium scale fish farming or up to 7.5 Lakh if your project is combined with some government fisheries department. However, getting into medium scale is comparatively easier for a single entrepreneur. So you can get upto 2 lakh as a subsidy... @Vijesh: I would like to give you the same advice as I have given to Mr. Vivek Shrivatsava for your financial assitance for starting your fish farming business. They sometimes give training as well if they find the group of 10 - 15 new entrepreneurs. Other wise they may ask you to wait till they gather the no of participants for giving training. However, they do not restrict you from getting the financial assistance based in this. And you may have to find your own resource for getting the brood stocks. General brood stock varieties such as black, white, yellow mollies, ordinary guppies, angels etc will be available every where. But you should also know that they will fetch you very little profit as they are grown plenty in our country. But if you have knowledge about some rare species (even in the live bearers) and breed them, you can earn considerable amount of profit. However, getting these brood stocks are not so easy because all the breeders in these varieties are not easily giving up these special brood stocks. We are in this field to help the new entrepreneurs to get the rare brood stock varieties even the imported ones so that they can earn more once they success in breeding these special varieties...
