Pleasing Customers and Creating Loyalty
One of the best ways to succeed in business is by building customer loyalty and pleasing the target-market. However, entrepreneurs should know some complex strategies and business approach to make people patronize their product and service and to please their target consumers that will give them an advantage to their business rivals.
Any business needs customer loyalty to ensure that its product or service will be patronized by its target-market.
By making consumers loyal to a certain product, an entrepreneur will have an advantage to his rival companies especially during tough economic times.
However, customer loyalty does not come easy. According to business consultants, companies should adapt to the customer’s taste and to the ever-changing social climate in order to have customers who will continue to patronize their products.
These are some of the tips to build customer loyalty:
Know the demographics of target-market
By knowing the target-market’s demography such as age, gender, political belief, purchasing power and income, education, and religion, a company can tailor its product or service that will reflect the needs and wants of its customers.
For example, McDonald’s has been successful in the food industry after realizing that its menu should reflect the taste of average Americans. This restaurant giant has also revolutionized the concept of fast-food service by giving quick meals that is ideal for Americans (especially those who are living in urban places) since they are always on the go.
The greatest advertisement is the product itself
No matter how great is the advertising and marketing strategy, if the product or service has poor quality or does not live up to the expectation of consumers, a company will not be able to build customer loyalty.
Honesty and integrity
While there is a shortage for these two characters nowadays especially in business where some giants use illegal marketing strategies such as anti-trust activities, manipulation of prices, and hording, honesty and integrity are very effective in building customer loyalty.
Public image is very important for any business. This is also the reason why companies are willing to spend millions of dollars by announcing recall on defective product.
Hire employees who are hospitable, good-communicator, and highly effective in their position
Anything the employees will do is a reflection of their companies. For example, a grumpy saleslady in a high-end boutique will make customers think that the store is elitist and does not cater to middle-class consumers.
Another important characteristic for employees is being effective in their position. For example, a staff in customer care should be able to provide answers to all the questions and inquiries people will ask, no matter how trivial these might be.
