    In order to operate a bus in New York (not a shuttle bus less than 14 persons) you need a CDL passenger licensed driver. Also you need to understand the costs involved before venturing into any business. For example Driver Salary (or get per diem company to provide driver), Insurance (more is better), worker's compensation, registration, repair and service (1 year), parking, exterior design, installation of GPS and cameras, gas, and whatever hard costs you can imagine. Once you have your costs under control then think of how much you can spend on the bus. Used buses are good but check the records and recall items. I will be back to talk more firmly about the hard costs and soft costs. This is not legal advice.

    I'm currently going thru a lot of sites on how to start my own tour bus company from beginning to the end. I pretty much have everything laid out as far as , name of company, areas to cover, which clientel to seek. so on. my question is.
