@Ben, Starting an ambulance service can be super expensive even if you are doing it on the cheap. Remember when you start your service you will need two vehicles to start with so you can guarantee that you will always have one running as well as be able to put up a second unit temporarily when business increases. You can get an older high mileage type 2 for as low as 7,000.00 but be aware your maintenance costs and down time may make you regret that purchase. If your looking for an exact number thats difficult. That number would depend on your business plan, How much will employees be paid? 12hr shifts v.s. 24hr shifts new or old rigs?How much money will be set aside for marketing material? 3 months of bills to start or 6? Your business plan must answer these question so you can get an idea of what you will need capital wise than you can adjust based on your situation.
