I am interested in opening a computer training center. (This is what my experience is and I would like to share it over here) I think, If you are partnership you should have partnership agreement registered. IF you are a company than company registration is required. IF you are an individual no such registration would be required(In India) . If you are employing trainers than labour law registrations is must (pf,etc). But for less no of trainers only municipal registration might do. You are a coaching center, not an university, school or college. So I think a affiliation or registration of education dept of state may not be required. Still inquiries must be done in that regard. Again inquiries in IT dept state and govt of India might have to be done for any registration requirements. If you are an individual or business, service tax registration would be required required if certain amount is exceeded per year. Again professional tax registration is must. You can employ any graduates (better). Like bsc, bcom, ba etc. or engineers or architects any good qualification will do. See lot of things in computers are from areas of science, commerce and arts as well. For hardware science graduates will be better - though not necessary. For small networking any good experienced trainer will do, but enterprise and corporate level networking might require a good experienced trainer like cisco certified or microsoft certified etc. For teaching basics such as operating the computer, etc. any good trainer will do. That brings us to programming and internet. This area also can be divided into basics and advanced. The most delicate part of the training is security related issues. Computer security has become a must now a days and how to program in order to make your code secured is very important. So make it clear at the outset what you will be teaching - basic or middle level or advanced. Make it clear that the student will get the coaching only and on completion of the coaching he will have to appear for certified exams such as cisco etc. This will make it clear that the certificate provided by the coaching center is not that valid as the certificate provided by microsoft, adobe etc. So it is only a stepping stone to get higher qualifications.
