@munish gupta, you will preferably need to start with 4 colour rotogravure ,slitting rewinding ,lamination and pouching machines. This will do if you are not manufacturing films yourself. This way you can use polyester ,bopp bare films,laminate them and then print them and make pouches of them. This way you can market directly to the end user who packs his product.

The equipment will cost around 100 lacs -200 lacs based on the accuracy and atomization required. Have two lines so that you can deliver as promised. There will be continuous investment on rollers which are needed for printing machines for every design.A working capital of at least another crore will be aptly required.

@Rahul Deshmukh, EPE Project is around 5 crore. So people who manufacture it dont even consider fabricating /cutting it which is a manual process. What i have seen people who make PP FLUTE BOARD /CORRUGATED BOARD boxes from sheets. Most of these boxes used in pharma/diagnostic kits have EPE Lined in them. Maybe you should consider fabricating PP flute board & EPE .Each box is made manually and the equipment required is Hotwire cutting machines, die-press cutting machines, gluing and screen printing equipment

@Schouhan, Dear Souchan, Setting up a packaging business does not mean you should manufacture any product. Trading in packaging materials is highly potential business. You can trade in the following mix of products for which you can begin with an outlet and investment of  just 5 lacs and even 5 crores will be less as your business grows. The biggest advantage is you may end up with less profit but your product does not spoil like other products..your growth will depend on how many times you have circulated your investment.

@Biswanath Mohapatra, Frankly your relative cannot start one at such a low investment  unless you are buying some sick unit which could be older than 20 years with little working life in it . The minimum cost will be close to 1.00 crore .There is nothing like central government project .I do not know what you really mean by that.You wish to still go ahead kindly let me know what sizes of disposable plastics glasses your relative wishes to manufacture,I can advise you on the appropriate machinery and ancillaries.

@Mukul, Why is that you could not read my reply at 114? Which city are you from? I am not sure you can hire a mulgi or set up shop with the money you are planing to invest. Still  if you are interested please check on 114 and pick up some products listed on it to trade. best of luck.

@uday, The demand for high quality packaging required for mangoes has grown multifold .It is a big investment around 2.5 crore per line automatic corrugation line with inline printing .

Industrial pallets ,crates, is one good product that is gaining ground with a very little competition. With power situation  in the state being grim and totally mismanaged ,you better move out of the state if your mind is fixed to manufacturing. Otherwise you can trade in the products which is less riskier solution.

I dont think its a bright idea to start manual gone are the days, it will take you a life time to deliver boxes in an age now when everything is considering high speed machines

@Chauhan Alkeshkumar, You have the experience which is very good. But your investment outlay only will allow you to buy a 20 year old machine which has less life and you will spend your energy time and money repairing the machine. All entrepreneurs should have commitment to quality, customer and timely service . With the kind of spend you cannot promise anything near to this. Kindly refrain from setting up and plan something more right in the future. Hope you will understand my suggestion in the right spirit.

@Muna Karwa, Kindly buy the ready made polyester pouches which can be sealed with simple heat sealer. Get SEVANA Heat sealers which will cost a few thousand and start packing . Also add a brand which means you will have to procure printed pouches for various packing weights. Sell unbranded and branded as two qualities and two price points and watch which is being preferred by customers. LATER YOU CAN DECIDE ON PRINTING OR UNPRINTED based on sale values.

@renuka mankar, There cannot be a business with zero investment .Then it is not a business at all. The best thing is to do AMWAY, TUPPERWAY, HERBAL LIFE, etc etc.... with little investment.

@sudheer, Ok Plastic bags. which ones-.LDPE,LLDPE,HMHDPE,FOAM, striped ,ono or two layer D-cut ,Handle , perforated ? Printed 4colour or 6 colour - Flexo or Rotogravure or even offset?
You can also make water film or milk film.
How about all of them . Wonderful.
