@Ashfaq Ahmad, It is very good that you are starting the Goat farm but plan and make everything ready before September but start after Eid because from during Monsoon season many Goats will catch season and die so just before Eid you will get Expensive Goats. Shed- Make normal shed of Asbestos and it will cost you around 120- 140 Rs / Sq ft. Inside shed area you need 14 Sq ft / Goat and outside space surrounded by Net around 30 S

@eva, Dear Eva, Nice to see email from UAE and the recession is hitting here due to property price surge by more 15- 20 % in Dubai & Abu Dhabi. regarding the profit it will be initially 10-12 % and it will increase up to 35 - 40 % in coming years if you do it well in a professional way and dedicate more time initially on goats in order to avoid mortality due to diseases. you can start with minimum 10 Boer Goats or local goats so that you can more about the goats and expand it gradually. yeah dont know the Rates of Manila but in India Shed Cost come to 10- 12 AED / Sq ft. if you have any queries please write to me on below email address.

@Ramesh, check with Vet whether the goats are having disease or not. are you doing the worming properly or not? You have to daily feed 2-3 Kg of green fodder along with 0.5 Kg dry fodder and 200 Grams of Concentrate. You have to grow Monocotyledons which comprises of Maize, Jawar, Hybrid Napier, Gunea Grass , Oats and Para grass. These fodders are rich in energy and are used for supplying energy to animals and this should contain 66% of the diet.
Secondly you have to also grow Dicotyledons like Stylo , Lucerne, Berseem and Subabul. These fodders are rich in protein and help in Body building of animals and Milk Production and should be 33% of the diet. Remaining 1 % of the diet with concentrate. By thumb Rule you should feed the fodder 10 % of Body weight
