@Avinash, to start up fishery farm, you need level land for concrete pond construction or a swapy area for earthen pond construction, water either borehole or well, drainage, capital and adequate knowledge so as to be profitable.

@Subhra Chakraborty, well, it's all depend on the kind of pond you want to construct and the topography of the land but the basic things you need to consider are: access to water either borehole or well water and river. also you will have to consider the type of ponds you want to constructs either concrete pond,or wooden pond or plastic pond or earthen pond which has to be in the swappy area. you will also have to consider the drainage channel so as not to constitute your envions. also, you have to put into consideration the number of fish(es) you intend stocking which will determine the pond diameter.

After thorough consideration of the above mention criteria, i will suggest to start with smaller pond for easy management been a starter in the business. should you have any further question feel free to contact back.

@susan, yes of course you can combine 2 types of fish together in a pond which is called poly cultured but you have to be mindful of the types of fishes that yield well in combination.
