I am interested in chicken farming. We have 25+ acres. If we financed the entire cost of the houses (2 to 3 houses with approx 15,000 per house) - What would the approx cost be and how much would the establishment. income or profit be per house when the chicks came to maturity - which I think is about every 6 weeks. 1. The feeding pattern and duration of introducing new feeds from the one day old chick to maturity.
2. Timely Vaccination of the chicks and the best method and at what age.
3. Feeding rations as from when the chick is one day old.
4. Other measures to be taken into account if you want to start the project at climatic conditions above 1700M above sea level.

@Abdul, It depends, people build shade for 5,000/10,000/15,000/20,000 birds. It also depends on your land style so better to consult a poultry consultant who can visit the spot to decide the building style. Layer farm buildings are different than poultry farms' so visit one of the nearest layer farm before you think about that.

@Rajagopal.G, Cost in AP, India for 1 lac birds will be around 10-12.5 Million rupees and this doesn't include the land cost, there are different norms on land size per bird so get that cleared from the local govt office. Poultry and layer farms are needed to be constructed away from residential areas so make sure your land is not in a zone where you find some problems later. For machineries try to take some references from other poultry owners because these are all locally manufactured and good to go with some referrals.
