). The initial number of birds intended. Every country has different chicken prices.
). The housing facility. Depending on your number of chicken the housing will vary. Again, some people do like to separate the layers and broiler's which is good. The feeding unit need not necessarily be within its housing. You can also decide to fence the compound so that feeding can be done outside.
). Cost of feed, equipments like drinkers, waterers and incubators vary is prices. If you are a starter, my advice would be to 'start small but aim high'.
). Cost of vaccination will vary. Vaccination is the most important aspect in the business because a single outbreak can kill all your chicken!
). Availability of a ready market. Without a proper and ready to buy sector your business will be endangered. Hence it is proper to make an analysis of the market before venturing into poultry.
Poultry business is very very lucrative if you take the appropriate risks and stamina. It can take you places but it can also reduce you to space. So do the right measures and reap the fruit of your labor!! For any inquiry, kindly post your question to my email: kip_lex@yahoo. com
