@gary alston, from my little knowledge, halal organic chicken simply means lawful edidle consumable chicken. which means you can rear either cockerel or broilers which is mainly for meat production but  different location and different in climatic condition, i will not be able to give detail information but you can contact your local veterinary or poultry store for detail information on day old chicks , feed i'e chick mash,growers mash or starter and finisher feed.

@irene,  i can not get the exact cost due to your location. but as regards the feeds and feeding and housing or battery cage stuff are : if you are using 3 tiers battery cage of 3 birds in a cell and 15 birds in a roll, a unit of such battery cage will contain 90 birds and you will need 6 of 3 tiers battery cage for 500 birds and each unit of the battery cage cost $295 depending on your location. If you are rearing layers, you will need 3 different feed; chicks mash,growers mash and layers mash, if you are starting from Day old chicks. the birds will consume chicks mash for 8weeks and from 9weeks to when they start having 10% of egg production per day before introducing layers mash. to calculate the total number of feed need, you will need to calculate it by each bird will consume 15grams of feed per day and you will increase the grams by 5 grams every successful week till it's gets to 110 or 115 grams till you sell the oldlayers. and used 15gx500x7 divided by 25000 to get the number of bags of feed they will consume per week. hope with the above information, you can get the average cost you need. have a good day.

Dear Reader and Aspiring Farmers - I am using this medium to really advice those in need loan to not only based their source majorly on finance house but rather try other means of sourcing soft loan from family, relatives, friends and even look for an avenue to get a trade credit and after which they have established, then they can be sourcing for finance house because they would have gotten practical knowledge about the business and they will be able to project for next production from available data they have generated from their existing  business....
